An imaginary architectural proposal to be situated at the top of Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook in Culver City, Bird's Eye is a model that proposes a public, performance space most suitable for music. It's shape and volume proposes to maximize sound and audience/performer relations. As proposed, the performance is in the center and the sound and view reverberates outward into the round. As an alternate form of presentation, it resists hierarchy by eliminating the stage and the proscenium. Because the architecture is largely transparent, sky above and city below will become part of the expanded atmosphere of the performance space.
